Michael Braun is committed in every case to make a difference in the lives of his disabled student clients. In many cases these efforts on behalf of one student make a difference for other students in the same setting.
Michael came to Special Education law after litigating for twenty years in a variety of areas, including health care, tobacco litigation and construction. His son Max is credited with leading him to Special Education law. Michael’s rich prior experience, coupled with the demanding challenges of raising a son with autism, provide him the depth of recognition of his clients’ needs, and what works successfully. This experience, navigating a son with autism through life coupled with his seasoned trial experience, results in positive resolutions and outcomes from schools, and when necessary, success at trial.
In addition to his work representing parents and students in school, Michael lectures advocacy organizations and has represented many of the associated therapists in insurance matters and legislative reform.
A native of Miami, Florida, Michael obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Carson-Newman University and a Juris Doctorate from Saint Thomas University.
Michael and his wife Crystal share five children together; are devoted to healthy living; jog regularly; were once good tennis players; and, love calling Nashville home.
